I am writing this urgent request on behalf of Source of Light Ministries. I’ll explain the details of the needs in a minute, but first some important background from two news sources. The offices of SLM were destroyed in these horrendous attacks, impacting ministry to orphans, widows, and others who receive help from SLM –

A crowd vandalized eight churches and several homes following accusations of blasphemy against Islam in Pakistan’s most populated province of Punjab on Wednesday, according to government authorities and residents, stoking tensions between local Muslim and minority Christian communities.

The National Commission for Human Rights said the number of churches burnt “has risen to eight,” in an update on Wednesday, calling the situation “sad and shameful.” CNN

More than 100 people have been arrested in a city in east Pakistan after thousands of Muslims burned churches and vandalised homes.

Violence in Jaranwala was sparked by claims that two Christian men had torn pages from a copy of the Quran.

The historic Salvation Army Church was still smouldering on Thursday, one day after the riot.

Ruins have been surrounded with barbed wire as the situation remains tense in the city. BBC

We have supported Source of Light Ministries for many years. My parents were SLM missionaries for almost 20 years, so my family and I have visited the headquarters in Georgia many times and know of their dedication and commitment to the Lord’s service. I have known the leadership of SLM for decades and can speak to their integrity and love for Christ and His people.

The need for Source of Light Ministries in Pakistan is immediate. Here is an email I received from the Asia Director that will explain the need. I also spoke with him on the phone to confirm all of the information before sending this to you.
